Spelling mistakes make a website and the organisation look unprofessional, and can cause search rankings to suffer. Spellr.us is a great new web app that automatically spell checks websites and provides ongoing spell check monitoring. Developed by an Australian company, Melon Media, and officially launched at TechCrunch 50 last week, Spellr.us has been generating quite a bitofbuzz.
We first heard about spellr.us in Australian Anthill and have just tried it out on findingsimple.com and doggo.com.au. We’re pleased to say that there weren’t too many errors but there were a couple that had slipped through (which we’ve now quickly corrected!). Spellr.us is expected to go live next month, in the meantime you can get free access to the beta version by registering on their website.
